About Maria

Born in Italy, Maria Elena moves to New York at the age of 18 to continue her training as a professional dancer at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance.

Following a serious injury, she descovers the Pilates method, which will help her dance again and better than before.

She receives her Pilates Teacher Certification in 2002 from Jennifer Stacey.

She continues to explore different mouvement methods and follows a complete Hatha Yoga certification program in 2012.

Maria Elena descovers Garuda in 2016 and she falls in love with the method. It encompasses all of her previous experiences in mouvement but opens the door wide onto a whole new dimension.

She starts her Garuda Teacher Training in London with James D’Silva in 2017 and is today a Master Trainer in France alongside Eva Winskill.

Maria Elena lives in Paris and teaches at Studio M, which she founded in 2007.

She likes to work with a large variety of people, from professional movers to non professional ones, helping them discover their fullest potential with curiosity, pleasure and an open mind.
