There are many physical training theories on how to strengthen the hips for better balance, reduce lower back-hip-knee issues and a better looking bum. Madeline Black will explain the anatomical relationships in movement of the spine-pelvic-hip complex. Discuss faulty patterns of the hip joint that inhibits the proper strengthen, such as the upper gluteal versus the lower gluteal function, the complex role of the hip rotators and adductor/abduction relationships. Madeline will teach strengthen exercises using the Reformer and mat to fine-tune and add to your repertory.

-Seeing and feeling how the hip moves in healthy and dysfunctional patterns
-Understanding the patterning of engagement of the hip as the trunk and leg moves in many directions
-Learning Reformer exercises, both traditional and contemporary to strengthen the hip
-Using mat exercises to stimulate the healthier patterns of the hip
